Gift to Paul for our Anniversary

For our anniversary I had a portrait done by a local photography, Martin Flewelling.

Paul always says that we have very few pictures of me. I am usually behind the camera and quite frankly that is where I like to be.

So I went way out of my comfort zone and had my portrait done for Paul.

Jude Alan Arsenault's Baptism

Today Kerri and Joels son, Jude, was baptised. They were transferred to Moncton and moved into their new home this past Tuesday. Joel is with the RCMP.

The baptism was was at 2:00pm this afternoon and their were 9 new babies baptised.

Today is a popular day. Paul and I celebrate our 29th anniversary, Emma was baptised on this day 23 years ago, Ken and Lori celebrate their 12th anniversary today and now Judes bapitsm.

Strawberry Season

I spent part of Saturday making strawberry jam. The price of berries was right. Earlier in the week they had been $3.99 and when we got groceries on Saturday morning they were $2.50. I had considered going to a u-pick, but at that price I'd spend more driving to the

u-pick. I made 10 bottles; as Paul said (since he is the one who eats it) a bottle a month!

This is my new insulated coffee mug! I had ordered it from Applebys this winter and it arrived last week...I took it to work this week and it created some conversation.....

Happy Reading

I have decided to make a real effort and read more books. I am certainly not a reader like Paul or Brenna, nor am I the type to spend a whole day reading. But I would like to try and have a book always on the go and if it takes me 3 days, weeks or months to read it , so be it......I will be reading.
I have started a list to the right of my blog of the books that I have recently read and enjoyed and hope to continue adding to it. If you have any  book suggestions I am certainly open to ideas.
