Charles spent part of Sunday afternoon playing on the deck, under the umbrellas.

This was done in class last evening.

Two more classes and we are done for the summer.

Charles turned "1" on May 15th and we celebrated on the long weekend.

Spring Flowers

Latest Painting - Sunflowers

This is the latest project from painting class.

We started 3 weeks ago.

First week we drew the vase and flowers in our sketch book and then on our canvas.

I choose a 16 X 20 canvas.

The next week we started painting.

Last week we more or less finished it. I brought it home and finished it here.

Lessons I learned were drawing from a live object, scale (vase to flowers and placement on a canvas), shadows.

I REALLY enjoyed this project. I was excited to go to class each week.
