One Wall of Three

Backfill and weeping tile removed

Wall tarred

New weeping tile layed

Crushed rock over tile

Wall insulated, fabric over crushed rock. More crushed rock.

Back filled to allow access through front door.
Hope to start in back tomorrow, weather permitting.

Let the Digging Begin

Gary, the contractor, was here shortly after 0700hr. this morning. Brad arrived shortly after to scope the lines. As suspected the weeping tile around the 8 ft. basement was full of water and silt. GOOD NEWS is the weeping tile around the 4 ft. basement is dry and clear. We also had the lines from the house scoped and all is clear.
So we are only proceeding only with the 8 ft. basement.
The weather was questionable this morning.....thunder, showers but this afternoon has cleared. The hole on the front side is dug, they have tarred the wall and insulation will follow.
Stayed tuned for more updates.

Yesterday we took most of the back deck off, as well as lift the front walk.

The garage is surrounded by deck, stairs, retaining wall bricks and stones for the walkway.

Weeping Tile Nightmare

This week we hope to start the job of replacing our weeping tile around the house. We have had water coming in since mid May and enough is enough. We have been getting the property ready and here are some before and after pictures. This weekend we have to dimantle the deck :-(

Now I'm utilizing some real estate "over the hill" until I can bring things back home. (hostas and peonies)
I haven't signed a lease, I'm just using it on a month to month basis.
