The Passing of a Great Man

Paul and I were saddened to hear of Stuarts passing.
We were fortunate to see his first Christmas  maritime concert in Halifax in Nov, 2105 where he announced he was taking time off for treatment of his melenoma.
Never did we, or others, think we would be reading of his passing.
We completely enjoyed his stories of Dave and his family. We have listened to him on Saturdays or Sundays, on drives locally or while travelling.
One Christmas, a number of years ago, we were with  family in Ontario and were driving when we heard the timeless story of Dave cooking the Christmas turkey.
I feel very lucky to have heard him, whether it be on radio or in person.
His passing has created a real emptiness in our Cnadian culture.
Thanks Stuart.

CAST TIME AGAIN

This  is a result of my break last summer and all the arthritis in my foot.
I had surgery last week to fuse the top of my foot.
I am non weigh bearing for 12 weeks.
My hope is to be back to myself by summer.
