New to me Perennials

I think this is a golden sunflower.
When it was given to me, the lady couldn't remember the name of it.
If anyone knows the correct name please do tell.

New Shoes

On our little walk about of St. Andrews I found theses at a store called Scrooge and Marley.
Sexy, if I say so myself.

NB Day

This morning Paul and I were up and on the road for St. Andrews at 0730hr.
We were going kayaking.
It was the first time for both of us and I did have some reservations, BUT, it is something I have wanted to do for quite some time.
We had our safety lesson and then it was into the water. Paul and I were in a double kayak.
It was an absolutely wonderful morning.
Our guide, Corey, was a real pleasure. She is from Sussex and a student at UNBSJ. She is going into her 4th year of Marine Boilogy.
The water was very calm and there was no wind to speak of.....a perferct day for our first time out.
We paddled around Navy Island and stopped for a break.
On our return going from right to left we could see Western Passage, Deer Island, Minister Island, St. Andrews, Maine and Navy Isalnd.
At one point, while we glided in the water, there were 2 seals,  no more 30 feet in front of us.
I didn't take the camera with me in the kayak because of the uncertainty......therefore no pictures.
Once back we had lunch at the Sweet Harvest Market.......delicious.
We then walked the main street, Water Street, stopped for coffee and returned home.
It was a fantastic Day!!!!!!!!

Emma at 23yrs. is approx. 2 inches shorter than Jonathan at 14yrs.
And he still has some growing to do.

Jonathan and Zachary's Annual Visit

The boys arrived today for a week in New Brunswick. I picked them up at the airport in my
un-airconditioned truck. As soon as we arrived they changed into their swim suits and were into the pool.

Ready to launch (on Jeremys shoulders)

We had a few drops of rain this afternnon while I was mowing (which I greatly welcomed), but absolutely nothing to speak of.

It was an outstanding day, today.
It is approxiamtely 8:00pm and the outdoor temp., in the shade is 30C
I just got out of the pool and it is, as well, 30C. (that is only heated by the sun)
It has been an fabulous summer so far.
