The End to a Beautiful Day
Fantastic day.
The weather was outstanding for the end of october.
Worked outside all day.
Amazing how many trees still have their leaves.
Tomorrow promises to be another great day!

Goldfinch Feast
As I was standing on the deck enjoying the birds a #@*#* cat tried to sneak up on the birds.
I would love to round up all the neighbourhood cats and ............. I'll let you figure that one out!
A Day for Birds
Paul and I were working in the yard today and heard a bird singing above us. It was a different sound.
it was the neighbourhood Red Cardinal but he was making a sound different from his usual one.
As I approached the garage from the back yard I saw movement on my black-eyed-susans. Usually by now I have them cut down for the winter.
But I'm glad I had not because the 3 groupings in the front yard were full of Goldfinches.
They were holding onto the stems and eating the seeds in the black head of the flower.
Later in the afternoon they found the groupings in the back yard.
Later a sparrow joined in on the feast.

Charles and Emma Visit
Emma and Charles arrived Thursday afternoon.
They spent the night with us and Charles had a great time coloring with his Pappy.
Friday I was off and I spent the morning with Charles while Emma had things to do in town.
We played outdoors since it was such a lovely day.
Charles has a cold and he woke up from his nap still very tired.
It was easier to breath sitting up and he fell asleep on Emma's lap.
