Kitchen Reno

We had our kitchen renovated this July/August.

We hired a wonderful contractor who co-ordinated everything for us.

Avondale Kitchens out of Woodstock did the cupboards ( disregard the green tape on some of the cupboards as there are still deficiencies to address)

Local trades did our plumbing, electrical and carpenter work. 

We did as much as we could on our own....demolition, painting, cleanup.

Over all it went very smoothly but largely due to our outstanding contractor.

William is Swimming with no Aids!

He decided to try swimming without his water wings and there has been no turning back.

Brennas Birthday

Brenna was home for a visit and we celebrated her birthday.

Indication that Fall is Approaching

Vegetable Garden

This year I palnted a teeny, tiny vegetable garden...

peas, beans and tomatoes.

I also just cut my second crop of rhubarb.

Emerging Artists

This was put forward by the town in the spring.

Due to the flooding it was postponed to this past weekend.

This is the painting I submitted.

I was abit disappointed when I picked it up yesterday that there was no feedback given.

We were away for the weekend, therefore I was unable to attend on Sunday.

I could not even get a confirmation that the winning paintings would be posted on the towns facebook page.

Resident Dragonfly.....today we had 3.

Whenever we uncover the pool we are visited by a dragonfly.

It flies repeatedly over the pool, at times it appears it is doing a grid.

Today we had a pair of mating dragonflys that repaetedly flew over the pool, occassionally touching the water. We think they are laying their eggs in the water.

the single dragonfly was present as well.....3 dragonflys.
I tried to video the single dragonfly.....above is the results.
