Sorry Greens and Watts......we don't wish to appear as copycats. Brenna saw the pictures on Longwoods blog and commented she would love to go to a sugar camp. I made a call and they only had openings for the monday morning 1030 tour so we grabbed it. once I saw the pictures I recognized it, we had been there 12-15 years ago. We had a great morning, 15 degrees but they had NO syrup to buy. It's now getting too warm and the sap isn't flowing as well.

Just some interesting facts: they only tap sugar, silver and red maple trees; the ratio of sap to syrup is 45:1; they personally tap 200- 250 trees (THERE IS A BUSINESS IN CENTRAL NB THAT TAPS 165,000 TREES). We also found out they have groomed cross country ski trails and snowshoeing trails so that will be a destination next winter.

Next time we'll have to organize ourselves and go together!

How good is maple syrup on snow? Mmmm.

Looks like a nice day!!
