This morning Paul and I were up and on the road for St. Andrews at 0730hr.
We were going kayaking.
It was the first time for both of us and I did have some reservations, BUT, it is something I have wanted to do for quite some time.
We had our safety lesson and then it was into the water. Paul and I were in a double kayak.
It was an absolutely wonderful morning.
Our guide, Corey, was a real pleasure. She is from Sussex and a student at UNBSJ. She is going into her 4th year of Marine Boilogy.
The water was very calm and there was no wind to speak of.....a perferct day for our first time out.
We paddled around Navy Island and stopped for a break.
On our return going from right to left we could see Western Passage, Deer Island, Minister Island, St. Andrews, Maine and Navy Isalnd.
At one point, while we glided in the water, there were 2 seals, no more 30 feet in front of us.
I didn't take the camera with me in the kayak because of the uncertainty......therefore no pictures.
Once back we had lunch at the Sweet Harvest Market.......delicious.
We then walked the main street, Water Street, stopped for coffee and returned home.
It was a fantastic Day!!!!!!!!
