A day in the Life of Dutch Girl

Today I was up and out at 0720. Dropped Paul off at work and went to my 0800 dentist appointment. I was home by 0930. Emma was off to Fredericton at 0900 to meet with the university. She needs one course to get her major and she can only do her major out of Fredericton, that is why she is taking the summer to complete courses. She did 2 in the spring and was registered for one in the summer....well they cancelled it. Then they put on another and yesterday they cancelled it. So she and other students met with the university this morning and apparently the original course is back on. She will start July2nd. So with Emma in Fredericton, and Brenna and Paul at work I did the dreaded laundry and made Mrs. Longwoods chocolate chip cookies.....YUMMY! With my kitchenaid mixer and my new convection oven, baking is great. I only wish I could have had them years ago, when the kids were small. The property tax assessor was in this afternoon. (yes we appealed our assessment as did many others in Grand Bay.) I wonder if a cup of coffee and fresh chocolate chip cookies might sway the assessment.....what do you think Jon? Or is that considered bribery?

That photo looks like something out of a cookbook!

As for your assessment, keep in mind it is what your house could sell for, and you guys have a pretty nice place over there...

Let us know how you make out, cookies never made anyone's assessment go up, that's for sure!! :)
