Overnight Trip

Paul had an appointment in Halifax on Thursday, so I took Thursday and Friday off and we made a trip of it. On our way back we travelled along the Minas Basin Coast fron Halifax to Truro and came across an area called Walton. It use to mine gypsum. Above I am looking out towards Parrsboro from Walton; this was the entrance for the ships to come in to load gypsum.

Along the trail we encountered a groundhog!

No one to take a picture so we used our remote control that came with the camera.....handy!

Caostline at the light house in Walton.

Lighthouse at Walton.

Gypsum rock.

Where did all the ships go?????? (notice they all seem to be looking in the same direction)
