Load of compost
Saturday, Paul and I were up bright and early. We were at the landfill site shortly after 8:00am with a load of brush....two weeks prior we had trimmed hedges, shrubs and cleaned up around the property. After unloading this we shovelled on a truck load of compost. We then stopped at a plant sale, and of course, I had to come home with some new palnts. I spent the day moving and dividing plants and filled the bed along the front walk with perennials. Then I topped up the beds with the compost. I also potted some plants to give to friends. Paul spent the day edging the beds and helping me. Then I put out my birdbath, hummingbird feeder( no hummingbird yet), stepping stones, solar lights, etc. It was an absolutely beautiful day.

Sunday it rained a good part of the day, and hard at times, but the plants got a good soaking. Emma is down for the weekend and her and Jack joined us for a roast beef supper last night. Today is rather overcast and Paul is out visiting Rodney. It's a day for ironing, mending and housework........yuk!!!!! I'd rather be out in the yard :-)
Tomorrow it's back to work :-(

i'll adopt any orphaned plants!
They are here potted, waiting for you....I hear them calling your name!
Don't let Rod see those plants! He'll want to fly them back to Calgary for his patio garden!
There was a frost warning here last night so all the pots moved into our living room to stay warm and alive. Of course the seeds he planted (which most have sprouted) just love basking in the sun that streams through our patio doors. They'll have to toughen up soon come June they aren't allowed back in the house!
