Good Food, Good Company, Good Drink

Last evening we had supper at our place with Gerry and Diane. It was long over due. We had a ham with all the trimmings(potatoes, turnip, carrots, squash and a bottle of wine), followed by a delicious spice cake with chocolate icing. We then adjourned to the living room for a baleys on ice (Gerry and I) Diane sipped away at her wine and Paul had cognac. We caught up on each other and our families. It was as good if not better than going out to eat. It was an absolutely LOVELY evening.

Yes Indeed! Diane and I had a very nice relaxing evening with our wonderful friends and hosts - the Toners. I don't know where the time went. All of a sudden it was way past my bed time and we were still "in retreat" in the "parlour" The only thing missing was Paul and I honking on great big disgusting Cuban cigars!

Longwood, at our next "retreat in the parlour" we'll have to see what we can do about the cigars! Maybe we could arrange for those chocolate ones from Laura Secord.
