Road Trip

Today, Paul and I met Mom and Dad in Fredericton for his follow-up appointment with the orthopaedic surgeon. We met them at Kings Landing and had lunch before coming into Fredericton. The surgeon was very pleased with his progress and said to keep doing whatever it is he's doing. We then went over to Sears and Mom did some clothes shopping. I think she was quite successful with the little time she had. We then returned to Kings Landing to pick up our car and they were on the road back home by 2:15pm. At this time it was raining quite hard, but Dad said that by the time they got to Woodstock it was only sprinkling and once home they had little or no rain.
Paul and I had a really wet drive home. We returned through Gagetown and despite the weather the colors up to Gagetown were spectacular. We are not quite at our peak here. The side trip into Gagetown was to pick up the above crock pot I had ordered back in September. It matches the rest of my kitchen pottery. Now I have to learn to make beans like Nanny did and like Mom does. Mom said it will take awhile to achieve their success......I have no doubt about that :-)
